Why partner with us?

Women have unique transition challenges because of their role in the military and society. They experience deployment and reintegration differently than men. All women veterans are welcome to join WVN groups to connect with others, in both local and national forums, for networking and support in a respectful, encouraging and considerate environment.

The cost of military and combat service is unique to each woman. They are strong and resilient, but because of the magnitude of the challenges faced, they may well need support during post-military readjustment periods.
The number of women in the ADF today and their evolving roles in our national defence continue to rise – which means a greater number of women experiencing transition in the future.
The absence of a network of support for women veterans brings a heightened risk of social isolation and exclusion, which is unacceptable at a time when the world commemorates the centenary of WWI.

WVNA is all about connecting past and present Women of Defence with resources, support & information to live an empowered & fulfilling life. Women have unique transitional challenges because of their role in the military and society. They experience deployment and reintegration different than men.

WVNA is the only organisation in Australia that is solely focused on the wellbeing of female veterans. We reach multiple women, communities and organisations in metro, regional, rural and remote locations across Australia.

Here are some ways we can work together:

  • Partnerships with us are individually and uniquely designed to be mutually beneficial
  • Sponsorship of WVNA attendance at veteran and community events
  • In-kind services (such as printing)
  • Promotion and marketing support
  • Awareness raising activities and dissemination of our information and resources
  • A partnership across several areas of our work incorporating varied sponsorship, in-kind and awareness raising activities

We would like to thank our partners, sponsors and supporters for their ongoing assistance. Together we make a difference to the lives of women veterans right across Australia.
